Franck Kessie has made history by becoming the second-oldest Ivorian player to score a goal in the FIFA World Cup. The milestone was achieved during a group stage match against Germany on June 20, where Kessie netted the opening goal in the 30th minute.

Currently taking place in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, this goal has solidified Kessie’s status in Ivorian football history. At 29 years and 183 days, he joins the ranks of players who have scored on the world stage, following Didier Drogba, who scored at the age of 32 years and 101 days during the 2010 World Cup.
