The “Nerazzurri” may be set to execute an unexpected transfer move.
Reports indicate that Ronald Araujo, a 27-year-old Uruguayan central defender currently with Barcelona, could be heading to Serie A with AC Milan’s Inter considering making an offer.
According to DiarioSport, Inter is contemplating a transfer that may involve Araujo in exchange for Alessandro Bastoni, who has piqued the interest of Barcelona. Although no negotiations have commenced regarding Araujo, there are discussions about a potential swap deal with additional financial compensation if talks concerning Bastoni stall.
In addition to Araujo, Inter is also keeping an eye on Luka Vuskovic. This season, Araujo has appeared in 37 matches for Barcelona and scored 4 goals. Despite having a contract that runs until 2031, Araujo has expressed a desire to leave due to ongoing psychological and mental health challenges.
