Manchester United Players Set to Shine in Upcoming World Cup and Under-17s Tournament

The end of the season is approaching with the World Cup finals taking place across North America in the coming months.

Several Manchester United players are likely to feature in these games, including captain Bruno Fernandes, Diogo Dalot, and Matheus Cunha.

Fernandes has previously appeared in Portugal’s World Cup qualification fixtures, even scoring a hat-trick against Armenia to help solidify his place in the squad.

The World Cup is not the only tournament happening this year; other important competitions are also set to take place as countries around the world make their mark on the football scene.

One such tournament is the Under-17s World Cup, which will occur later this year.

Ireland is among the countries participating in this tournament after securing a victory against Slovakia earlier in the year.

As part of their preparations, the country has named several players from their qualifying squad in the Under-16s setup, with fixtures against Finland, Latvia, and Iceland scheduled.

Manchester United forward Ben Lyne is among those selected, having been promoted from the Under-15s to the Under-16s.

Lyne has previously represented his country, but this call-up marks his first to the Under-16s, having received an earlier call-up when Ireland’s Under-15s faced the Netherlands.

This new opportunity indicates a positive shift in his development as he aims to showcase his talent at a higher level.

Increased playing time could enhance his performance on the international stage, potentially positioning him for a spot in the World Cup later this year.

The fixtures are set to take place in the coming weeks, providing Ben Lyne the chance to demonstrate his value.
