Roberto Mancini has reportedly taken a significant step towards a potential return to the Italy national football team. Insider Nicolo Schira has confirmed that Mancini has officially parted ways with Qatari club Al Sadd, concluding his contract with the team.

The separation had been anticipated for several weeks, and the news has now been made official. With his departure from Al Sadd, Mancini is set to focus on the next phase of his managerial career.

According to sources, the 61-year-old coach is currently the frontrunner to assume leadership of the Italian national squad. Negotiations are reportedly in the final stages, with a contract expected to extend until the summer of 2030, and an annual salary estimated at around two million euros.

It is important to note that Mancini previously led the Italian national team to a significant victory, securing the European Championship title in 2021.
