“I’m Really Happy” — Kelechi Iheanacho Reacts After Brace Sends Celtic F.C. Into Final

Kelechi Iheanacho has shared his excitement following a standout performance that helped propel Celtic F.C. into the Scottish Cup final. The Nigerian striker made a significant impact during the semi-final match against St. Mirren F.C., scoring two crucial goals in extra time, leading to a decisive 6–2 victory.

The triumph secures Celtic a place in the final against Dunfermline Athletic F.C., scheduled for next month. Speaking with Celtic TV after the match, Iheanacho expressed his overwhelming joy about his contributions to the team’s success.

“I can’t really describe how I feel at the moment,” Iheanacho said. “I’m really happy! Obviously, there was a little bit of panic in the second half when they got the goals.

The 29-year-old highlighted the team’s resilience in overcoming the challenge posed by St. Mirren, who managed to score twice and push the match into extra time. Iheanacho emphasized the hard work and determination displayed by his teammates during the additional period.

‘We were lucky enough to get to extra time and we blew them away after that.’

“We’re really happy as a team, we really worked hard in extra-time to get the goals.

“In extra-time, we just had to get after them, press them and get the goals, that was the plan.”
