Kwara United defender Kabiru Mohammed has officially announced his departure from the club following the expiration of his contract. This decision concludes his three-year tenure with the Harmony Boys in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

During his time at Kwara United, the experienced centre-back played a crucial role in the team’s defensive framework, contributing significantly to their performance in the league.

With his contract now ended, Mohammed is poised to seek new opportunities as he prepares for the upcoming 2026–27 NPFL season, aiming to continue his professional journey in football.

In an emotional farewell, the defender expressed his gratitude towards teammates, coaches, and supporters, reflecting on the bonds formed during his time at the club.

As my contract with Kwara United ends, I just want to say thank you to all of you. The brotherhood, the battles we fought together, the laughs in the dressing room — I’ll carry it with me.

Thank you for pushing me, covering me, and making me better. It was an honor to share the pitch and wear the Kwara United badge with you all.

Keep grinding and make this season count for the Harmony Boys. I’ll be rooting for you wherever I go next.

One love always,

Kabiru MUHAMMED
