Liverpool FC is reportedly looking to secure a promising replacement for Mohamed Salah, with 19-year-old forward Yan Diomande emerging as a top target. Diomande has been making waves at RB Leipzig, attracting interest from the Reds’ management, who are eager to finalize a deal this summer. According to football journalist Florian Plettenberg, discussions regarding the transfer are currently underway.
Despite ongoing negotiations, no agreement has yet been reached. To bring Yan Diomande to Anfield, Liverpool is expected to spend over €100 million, as RB Leipzig is also keen to extend the player’s contract along with a salary increase. Diomande’s current contract is set to run until June 2030.
In addition to Liverpool’s interest, Paris Saint-Germain has also entered the race for the Ivorian striker. Reports indicate that the French club has already initiated talks with the player’s representatives.
