Pep Guardiola has not yet clarified his future with Manchester City, prompting the club’s management to prepare for a potential change in leadership. In light of this uncertainty, the team has reportedly identified a successor should Guardiola decide to leave.

Details: According to journalist Nicolo Schira, Manchester City has reached an agreement with a potential new head coach for a long-term contract. Should Guardiola depart, former Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca is set to take over, with the contract anticipated to extend until the summer of 2028, including an option for an additional year.

The 46-year-old Italian, who previously managed Chelsea, faced dismissal from the London club following conflicts with the board. During his time with Chelsea, Maresca achieved notable success, winning the Europa Conference League and the FIFA Club World Cup while promoting a dynamic style of combination football.
