Manchester United Prepares for Summer Transfer Movement

Movement is expected at Old Trafford this summer as Manchester United makes a number of transfers to help improve the squad in key areas.

Midfield is one of these areas with Kobbie Mainoo extending his contract whilst Ederson has agreed personal terms to join the club.

Further links have been made with both Sandro Tonali and Elliot Anderson although both options are currently appearing to be too expensive for the club to pursue.

As well as incomings, outgoings are likely to occur to both in an effort to make room for incomings and to make more money available for transfers.

Joshua Zirkzee may potentially be one of these outgoings with links to Napoli made last month as the attacker looks for more playing time away from the club.

Andre Onana, Marcus Rashford, and Rasmus Hojlund could each complete permanent moves to their respective loan clubs in the summer although the possibility of this occurring is currently unknown.

Now, according to Alan Nixon (reporting on his Patreon page), Shea Lacey is set to leave Manchester United this summer on a loan spell.

Nixon went onto explain that a number of clubs have already been queuing with Championship, League One, and Scottish Premiership sides inquiring about the attacker’s services.

Official approaches are set to be made soon, according to the journalist, and Shea Lacey is likely to go where he can get the most playing time.

The attacker has made three appearances for the men’s first team this season with two of these coming in the league whilst another came in the FA Cup.

Whilst he has excelled for the Under-21s this season, scoring 12 times and providing five assists, professional experience is arguably essential in his development.

United and Lacey are now likely to work together to see which interested club would be best for the 19-year-old with aspirations of a loan spell for next season.
