Manchester United in Talks to Sign Atalanta Midfielder Ederson
In a recent segment on Youtube, prominent journalist Fabrizio Romano reported that Manchester United are engaged in discussions to acquire Atalanta midfielder Ederson. Romano stated,
“Ederson is available. Manchester United are aware of that, but my understanding is that Manchester United are talking to his agents. I told you some time ago, conversations are active between Man United and the agents.
“Man United are aware of the price from Atalanta, €45m. This is the price tag. So there are contracts for Ederson, but it’s not the only one.
“Man United could sign two or three midfielders based on opportunities, based on exits, and more. And so the name of Ederson is going to be a really important one. But at the moment, not the only one. There are at least five or six midfielders under consideration at Manchester United.”
Ederson’s Impressive Form In Serie A
Ederson is having a solid campaign at the Italian club as he has produced a run of impressive performances at the heart of their midfield. The 26-year-old has participated in 40 matches for Atalanta this season, netting three goals and grabbing a couple of assists across all competitions.
