Tottenham Aims to Sign New Left-Winger This Summer
Tottenham Hotspur is looking to boost its squad when the transfer window opens this summer.
The North London club prioritizes maintaining its Premier League status, fearing the loss of key players if they face relegation to the Championship. Spurs need to bring in fresh talent, particularly in their attacking lineup.
Randal Kolo Muani will return to PSG when his loan concludes, and Tottenham can’t rely solely on Mathys Tel for creativity and goals from the wings. Both Wilson Odobert and Xavi Simons are out due to ACL injuries and are expected to miss the remainder of the season, so it’s crucial for the club to find suitable replacements during the transfer window.
Manchester United Eyes Tottenham-Linked Pulisic
To strengthen their attack, Tottenham is keen to recruit an experienced winger capable of making an instant impact under Roberto de Zerbi. Recent reports suggest that Tottenham is interested in AC Milan’s Christian Pulisic.
Pulisic had a strong first half of the season, scoring 10 goals (13 G/A), but his performance has significantly declined since the new year, with no competitive goals in 2026. Nevertheless, interest in him remains high as the season nears its conclusion.
According to an exclusive report from TEAMtalk, Manchester United is keen on Pulisic ahead of the summer transfer window. The club’s recruitment chief, Christopher Vivell, has deep familiarity with the American international from his time at Borussia Dortmund, where Pulisic emerged as a top talent in the Bundesliga.
As Manchester United pushes closer to Champions League qualification, they see Pulisic as a good fit for their attacking needs, despite the absence of a permanent head coach.
The report adds that uncertainty surrounds Pulisic’s future as he enters the final year of his contract, with no talks about an extension at this time. Although AC Milan holds an option to prolong his contract, no negotiations are currently in progress, heightening interest from various clubs.
Challenges in Spurs’ Pursuit of Pulisic
In light of this, Tottenham hopes to attract Pulisic back to the Premier League by offering him a significant role. However, they may face challenges with Manchester United now in the mix.
Given United’s strong position for Champions League qualification, they could make a robust offer for Pulisic to enhance their attacking line-up. His ability to play across different forward positions makes him particularly appealing, especially following United’s successful recruitment of versatile attackers like Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo last summer.
Pulisic, who has 66 goal contributions in 131 appearances for Milan thus far, could be inclined to return to the Premier League before the start of the 2026/27 season. If this occurs, Manchester United would likely have a significant advantage over Tottenham in securing the USA international. For Spurs to have a realistic chance of landing Pulisic, De Zerbi must ensure the club remains in the Premier League.
