Mandla Ncikazi expressed the urgency for a win ahead of Orlando Pirates’ crucial match against Orbit College. The Pirates are aiming for a victory that would crown them champions of the Betway Premiership, while Orbit College finds itself in a precarious position, sitting 15th on the PSL table with 24 points and working to avoid relegation play-offs.
Taking place at the Mbombela Stadium, the match is characterized as a battle of desperation, with both teams fighting to secure their futures in the league. “We cannot underestimate the emotional state of the game, what’s at stake,” Ncikazi stated during an interview with OP TV. He emphasized the importance of staying focused despite the high stakes.
Ncikazi highlighted the need for his team to dominate the match, saying, “It will be 11 players on the field, against a team that is fighting for their lives. We also need the points desperately, so one, we’re planning to play the match, play the Pirates way and dominate the match, score goals, create chances.” He expressed confidence that, if the team executes their game plan, they would secure a favorable result.
