Maurizio Sarri is on the brink of a dramatic return to Napoli.
The club president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, now holds the key to this potential move. Renowned journalist Nicolò Schira has reported on his social media platform X that the 67-year-old Lazio head coach has expressed his willingness to return to Napoli.
Sarri’s decision comes amid a strained relationship with Lazio’s management, prompting him to accept an offer from Napoli. Reports indicate that he is prepared to sign a contract until 2028, with a salary of €2.8 million per year in addition to performance-based bonuses.
While Sarri has reached an agreement, the final outcome depends on De Laurentiis, who will decide whether Sarri will lead Napoli in the upcoming season. Sarri previously managed Napoli from 2015 to 2018, achieving 98 wins, 25 draws, and 25 losses over 148 matches.
