Ferguson took over as Manchester United’s manager in November 1986. He won 38 trophies and 13 Premier League crowns, five FA Cups, and two UEFA Champions League titles in his 26 years at Manchester United. In recognition of his services to the game, he was knighted in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list of 1999.
After his departure, the club has been a shadow of itself and has not been able to find the perfect heir to Sir Alex. Many Managers have tried the luck, the only thing that has been consistent is the downfall of the club.

Another thing that has been missing is the leadership of senior players who can inculcate the club values and loyalty among the youngsters. These long-serving players become important for a team when they are chasing so many titles nowadays with keeping the motivation high at all the times.
The current crop does not have this presence and this has been a problem ever since Ferguson left the club.
