Newcastle United is intensifying its efforts to acquire Senegalese midfielder Lamine Camara amid growing interest from other clubs. The English Premier League side is eager to secure the services of the international player this summer.
The club has reportedly reached out to Camara’s entourage to advance negotiations. According to sources at Foot Mercato, Newcastle has already met with the midfielder’s representatives in an attempt to expedite the deal.
However, Newcastle faces stiff competition, particularly from Liverpool, who are also keen on signing the Monegasque player and preparing to make their own move.
In light of the interest from these suitors, AS Monaco is reportedly holding out for a transfer fee of around €50 million to permit Camara’s departure.
