Nottingham Forest has announced that winger Callum Hudson-Odoi has undergone surgery to address a muscle injury, effectively sidelining him for the remainder of the season.

The injury occurred when Hudson-Odoi was substituted into the match during Nottingham Forest’s 1-0 UEFA Europa League win over FC Porto last week. He exited the field in the 73rd minute, visibly emotional.

Following scans, medical staff confirmed the severity of the injury, ruling Hudson-Odoi out for the last five matches of the Premier League season.

In their official statement, Nottingham Forest noted, “Callum is expected to return to full training during the pre-season period, and everyone at the club wishes him a speedy recovery.”
