Nottingham Forest manager Vítor Pereira has announced that defender Ola Aina has returned to light training ahead of the upcoming Premier League match against AFC Bournemouth on Sunday.
Aina, who plays for Nigeria’s national team, has been out of action since suffering an injury during Forest’s 1-0 UEFA Europa League semi-final victory over Aston Villa on April 30. He had to be substituted in that match after 75 minutes.
Pereira noted that Aina has intensified his recovery process by rejoining light training sessions. However, the club intends to manage his return with caution.
“Murillo stays without training with the team. Ola (Aina) started today on the pitch.
