Patrick Dorgu to Rejoin Manchester United Squad for Brentford Match

Patrick Dorgu is set to make his return to the Manchester United squad for tonight’s clash against Brentford. It marks a significant boost as United aim to seal Champions League qualification.

According to SullyTalkz on X, the original plan had been for Dorgu to target a comeback in time for the upcoming fixture against Liverpool. However, the Danish international has worked ahead of schedule in his recovery.

The journalist gave credit to the club’s medical staff for accelerating his return. Patrick Dorgu had been sidelined after picking up an injury against Arsenal. A hamstring problem interrupted what had been a promising spell under Michael Carrick.

Despite being primarily a full-back, he had been deployed further forward on the left wing and made an immediate impact. In fact, he scored in both appearances under Carrick. The 21-year-old found the net against Manchester City and Arsenal.

That attacking output quickly highlighted his versatility and added a different dimension to United’s options in wide areas.

There has already been positive news on the injury front in recent days. Both Dorgu and Leny Yoro returned to training ahead of the Brentford fixture. Their progress has provided encouragement at a key stage of the season.

Dorgu only joined Manchester United in January last year from Lecce, and his development since arriving has been closely watched. His ability to operate in multiple roles has made him a valuable option.

If included tonight, his return would offer Carrick additional flexibility, both defensively and in attack. It also represents a reward for the player’s commitment during rehabilitation.

With the Red Devils pushing through a demanding run of fixtures, having Dorgu back available could prove to be an important lift as they look to maintain momentum.
