Goals from Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka led Arsenal to beat Wolves 2-0 in the first week of the Premier League at the Emirates Stadium, London, Saturday night.
Kai Havertz gave Arsenal the lead in the first half, while Bukayo Saka added to the lead in the second half, according to Premier League records.
This victory puts Arsenal in second place in the Premier League standings with three points from one match, while Wolves are in 19th place.
Statistically, Arsenal were superior to Wolves by recording 53 percent possession and releasing a total of 17 shots, six of which were on target.

Arsenal took the initiative to attack first in this match and gave a threat through Saka’s shot which was still secured by Wolves goalkeeper Jose Sa.
Saka created another chance for Arsenal, but his shot was again saved by Jose Sa.
Mikel Arteta’s squad finally managed to steal the lead first in the 26th minute after Saka’s pass was converted into a goal by Havertz’s header which changed the score to 1-0.
Trailing by one goal, Wolves tried to equalize, one of which was through Joergen Strand Larsen’s header which maximized Hwang Hee-chan’s pass, but the ball was secured by Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya.
The exchange of attacks between the two teams continued, but in the remaining time of the first half no more goals were scored so the score of 1-0 remained until half time.
Entering the second half, Arsenal created the first chance through Havertz’s shot after receiving a pass from Gabriel Martinelli, but the ball still went wide of Wolves’ goal.
Wolves turned around to threaten Arsenal’s goal through a shot released by Matheus Cunha, but the ball was secured by David Raya.
The Gunners successfully doubled their lead to 2-0 after in the 74th minute, Saka’s left foot shot broke through Wolves’ goal.

In the remaining time of the match, Arsenal continued to dominate the game, but until the long whistle was blown, the score of 2-0 for Ben White and his colleagues remained.
Next in the second week of the Premier League, Arsenal is scheduled to meet Aston Villa, Saturday (24/8), while Wolves meet Chelsea, the day after.
