Liverpool’s two goals were scored by Diogo Jota and Mohamed Salah in the second half.

Liverpool is in first place in the Premier League standings with three points, while Ipswich Town is bottom.

Liverpool dominated the match with 62 percent possession and released a total of 19 goal attempts, five of which were on target.

Liverpool immediately attacked and tried to dominate possession, but Ipswich fought back so that the Reds’ game did not develop.

The hosts had the opportunity to take the lead first after Sam Morsy’s cross was met by Jacob Greaves’ header which was still tamed by Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker.

Liverpool remained dominant, but failed to break down Ipswich’s defense so that the score remained 0-0 until halftime.

In the second half, Liverpool continued to attack until it finally paid off in the 60th minute from a goal scored by Diogo Jota.

Starting from a pass from Mohamed Salah, the ball was received by Jota who continued with a kick that could not be blocked by Ipswich goalkeeper Christian Walton.

Liverpool grew in confidence and then doubled their lead from a goal scored by Mohammed Salah in the 65th minute.

This goal became a record for the Egyptian player because it was the ninth goal in every opening match of the season played by Liverpool.

Liverpool slightly relaxed their attacks, on the other hand Ipswich tried to reduce the deficit, but until the long whistle was blown, the score of 2-0 for Arne Slot’s squad remained.

Next, next Sunday Liverpool will host Brentford, while Ipswich Town will visit Manchester City’s home, the day before.
