Raphinha’s football story has not been anything short of a movie and this season will be a big chapter in that book. Under Hansi Flick, Raphinha has turned into “Joga Bonito” and has made defenders turn inside out with his tekkers. 

This breakthrough season has been astronomical for him, until last season he was considered a mis-match for Barcelona. He had decent campaigns in his first two years under Xavi with 22g/a and 23 g/a in both the seasons, respectively. But it was not enough in a big club like Barcelona and many fans considered that he was on the level of other Barcelona players and was regarded as a bad signing. 

This season he has already 42 g/a and will be looking to add much more goal contributions by the end of the season. This season only Mo Salah has had better stats than him in front of the goal. 

He is also a strong contender for the Ballon D’or because of the great season he is having.

Not many considered him to have this level of quality but Leeds United fans can give their testimony on how good this guy is. 

Raphinha scored a penalty for Leeds in a 2-1 victory at Brentford on the final day of the 2021/22 season that secured their place in the Premier League.

The Brazilian has exploded of late and would be looking to continue his form for the upcoming years. 

His work rate and passion define his style of play, his speed on counter attacks is deadly. Now with his improved passing accuracy he has become a creative playmaker along with a goal scoring machine. He also scored a hattrick against Bayern Munich in this Champions League campaign.
