Ghana international Thomas Partey may find himself without a club later this month as reports indicate that Villarreal has opted not to renew his contract. The Spanish club’s decision means that Partey’s one-year tenure at Villarreal is set to conclude.
As noted by The Athletic, Villarreal has decided against offering the midfielder a new deal after he joined the team from Arsenal last summer. During the 2025/26 season, Partey made a total of 32 appearances across all competitions.
Currently, the 33-year-old is dealing with a Canadian visa issue at the World Cup with the Ghana national team, stemming from ongoing legal proceedings in the United Kingdom.
