Concerns are mounting for Brazil’s national football team as the 2026 World Cup approaches. Estevao, a winger for Chelsea and a key player for Brazil, is now at risk of missing the tournament due to a significant injury.

As reported by Mario Cortegana of The Athletic, Estevao has sustained a grade four hamstring injury during a match against Manchester United. This injury casts doubt on his participation in the World Cup, with his chances of recovery appearing slim.

Estevao has had a notable season, making 36 appearances for Chelsea in all competitions, where he has scored eight goals and provided four assists.

In related developments, it has been confirmed that attacking midfielder Cole Palmer and forward Joao Pedro will be sidelined for Chelsea’s upcoming match against Brighton due to their respective injuries.
