Tottenham Hotspur faced Atletico Madrid at the Wanda Metropolitano earlier tonight in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League last 16 match. Spurs had a rough start, conceding the first goal in the sixth minute as Marcos Llorente found the net. Antoine Griezmann increased the lead to 2-0 in the 14th minute, followed by Julian Alvarez scoring the third goal just a minute later. Robin Le Normand added a fourth goal for Atletico in the 22nd minute, but Pedro Porro pulled one back for Spurs in the 26th minute. At half-time, Spurs were trailing 4-1.

Alvarez scored again for Atletico in the 55th minute, while Dominic Solanke got another goal for Spurs in the 76th minute. The match ended with Tottenham losing 5-2 away from home.

GK: Antonin Kinsky – 3.5/10

He made some significant errors and was substituted in the 16th minute.

CB: Cristian Romero – 6/10

Romero defended well and was unlucky to hit the post.

He showed some effort but was not very effective overall.

CB: Micky van de Ven – 5/10

Van de Ven had a rough time defensively and made a critical mistake.
