Stellenbosch FC will be without Asekho Tiwani and Kobamelo Kodisang for their match against Mamelodi Sundowns on Wednesday night. Both players are on loan from Sundowns, and their loan agreement prohibits them from competing against their parent club.
Tiwani has had a more active role at Stellenbosch, making 14 appearances this season, compared to Kodisang, who has only played three times. This absence could hinder coach Gavin Hunt’s ambitions of securing a top-eight finish, especially as Sundowns aim to maintain their lead in the Premier Soccer League (PSL).
Stellenbosch currently occupies the ninth position in the league standings, riding high on their recent 3-1 victory over Sekhukhune United last Friday. However, they will not be lacking experience against Sundowns, as Mosa Lebusa, who transferred in a permanent deal, is eligible to play.
The match is scheduled to kick off at 7:30 PM at Loftus Versveld.
