Several Manchester United players are garnering international attention following a successful end to the season.
A number of athletes have already secured spots in prominent international squads ahead of this summer’s matches.
Portugal has officially called up Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Dalot for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Both players had standout seasons at Old Trafford.
Meanwhile, Belgium also included Senne Lammens in their World Cup squad.
Now, another three Manchester United players have officially received call-ups.
The Swedish Football Association confirmed their latest squad on Monday ahead of important fixtures in June.
However, the call-ups are not for the men’s team.
Sweden Officially Selects Manchester United Trio
Sweden Women have officially named three United players in their squad for the final stage of their 2027 Women’s World Cup qualifying campaign.
Fridolina Rolfo, Julia Zigiotti, and Hanna Lundkvist were all selected by manager Tony Gustavsson for matches against Denmark and Italy.
Sweden currently sits second in their qualification group.
They are one point behind Denmark and two points behind Italy as they prepare for the decisive fixtures.
The national team manager also confirmed that Anna Sandberg has returned to the squad following injury.
Manchester United defender Hanna Lundkvist continues her rise after making her senior debut for the club earlier this year.
Rolfo remains one of Sweden’s most experienced players.
The 32-year-old has accumulated over 100 international appearances, while midfielder Zigiotti has become an increasingly crucial player for both club and country.
Sweden knows that victories in both matches would ensure direct qualification for the 2026 Women’s World Cup in Brazil.
Their final qualifier against Italy will take place in Gothenburg on June 9.
The call-ups reflect a busy summer internationally for Manchester United players across both the men’s and women’s teams.
