McKenna Whitham, USA – 14 Years
Popularly referred to as “Mac Whitham”, American professional soccer player McKenna Whitham signed with Gotham at the age of 13 in 2024, becoming the youngest player in NWSL history. Additionally, McKenna Whitham has also represented the United States at the youth international level. Furthermore, McKenna Whitham received her maiden call-up to training camp with the United States national under-15 team at age 13 in October 2023.
Proving her worth at such a young age, McKenna won the 2024 CONCACAF Girls’ U-15 Championship, scoring the second goal in a 3–0 win against Mexico in the final. In the upcoming 13th regular season of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL), McKenna Whitham will be making her debut for Gotham at the age of 14.

Lexi Potter, England – 18 Years
At the second spot in our list of the top 14 teenage women football players who are transforming women’s football in 2025, we have England’s Lexi Potter, born on 17 August 2006. Lexi Potter currently plays as a midfielder for Women’s Super League club Crystal Palace, on loan from Chelsea, and the England U19 team. Owing to her on-field dominance, Lexi Potter has also captained the England under-17 team in the 2023 UEFA Women’s U17 Euros. Last year, Lexi Potter became the youngest female player in England to sign a professional contract with Chelsea at the age of seventeen.

Nineteen-year-old American professional soccer player, Claire Hutton, who plays defensive midfielder for the Kansas City Current of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) and the United States national team, is at the third spot in our list of the top 14 teenagers who are shaping up women’s football in 2025. Claire Hutton was officially signed by the Current at the young age of seventeen in 2023. Proving her prowess, the USA lioness clinched two bronze medals with the youth national team at the 2023 Pan American Games and the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup respectively.

Alara Sehitler, Germany – 18 Years
German footballer, Alara Sehitler, who plays as a midfielder for Frauen-Bundesliga club Bayern Munich, is at the third spot in our list of top 14 teenage women football players shaping the game in 2025. Alara Sehitler was a member of the Germany women’s national under-17 football team that clinched the 2022 UEFA Women’s Under-17 Championship. Additionally, in November 2024, Alara Sehitler also debuted for the Germany women’s national football team during a 6-0 away friendly win over the Switzerland women’s national football team, proving her dominance on the field.

Michelle Agyemang, England – 19 Years
English footballer, Michelle Agyemang, who plays as a forward for Women’s Super League club Brighton & Hove Albion on loan from Arsenal, and the England under-23s, is at the fourth spot in our list of the top 14 women football players in 2025. Michelle became a part of the England under-17 squad for the 2023 U-17 Championship, scoring a brace against Poland for a 2–1 victory. Additionally, Michelle scored a hat-trick in England’s opening group stage match in a 10–0 victory over Lithuania at the 2024 Under-19 Championship. As of March 2025, Irune Dorado plays as a central midfielder for Real Madrid and the Spain U-17 national team.
At the age of thirteen, Irune Dorado played for the U-16 team before progressing to the U-19 squad in 2021. Additionally, at the age of sixteen, Irune made her senior debut for Madrid in a Liga F match against Espanyol, becoming the youngest player to debut for the club in the league.
