Tottenham Hotspur is set to enhance its club structure, not only through the acquisition of new players. The club is reportedly in the process of appointing a new sporting director.

Florian Plettenberg, a well-known journalist and insider, has indicated on the social media platform X that Tottenham has identified its candidate for the sporting director role. The club is nearing a contract with 46-year-old Sebastian Kehl, the former sporting director of Borussia Dortmund.

According to reports, Tottenham’s management envisions Kehl collaborating with the current sporting director, Johan Lange. Although a contract has not yet been finalized as Kehl is taking time to deliberate on the offer, there is optimism that Tottenham’s determination may ultimately persuade him to accept the position.

It is worth noting that Sebastian Kehl is currently a free agent after parting ways with Borussia Dortmund in March of this year.
