Tottenham Targets Italian Players to Boost Full-Back Positions

Tottenham Hotspur is actively exploring options in the Italian market to enhance their full-back lineup. Under the leadership of Roberto De Zerbi, the team has shown promise, securing two wins and a draw in their last four matches, helping them rise above West Ham and escape the relegation zone.

However, the club’s management must support De Zerbi by making significant investments during the summer transfer window. With a clear focus on strengthening the defense, Tottenham is prioritizing the acquisition of new full-backs.

Recent reports indicate that De Zerbi is particularly interested in reuniting with Pervis Estupinan, currently with AC Milan. Additionally, Liverpool’s Andy Robertson is also on their radar, but the club continues to search for further full-back options.

Tottenham Shows Interest in Juventus‘ Andrea Cambiaso

According to Italian journalist Mirko Di Natale on X, Tottenham has joined several clubs in expressing interest in Juventus right-back Andrea Cambiaso. Other contenders include Barcelona, Liverpool, Inter Milan, Napoli, Manchester City, and AC Milan, all of whom are monitoring the 26-year-old’s progress.

Since his return from a loan spell at Bologna in 2023, Cambiaso has become a regular member of the Juventus squad. This season, he has accumulated 3,394 minutes over 44 matches, contributing three goals and four assists. The Italian international has played various roles within both defensive and wing-back positions under coach Luciano Spalletti.

The interest in Cambiaso makes sense for Tottenham as Destiny Udogie has faced ongoing injury issues over the last two years, impacting his development. Despite these concerns, Juventus has reportedly shown interest in acquiring Udogie.
