Napoli Interested in Tottenham-Linked Brazilian Midfielder Gabriel Sara

Tottenham Hotspur have encountered creativity issues this season, leading to struggles in scoring. The team signed Mohammed Kudus and Xavi Simons to address the lack of creativity in the absence of James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski. Kudus had been Tottenham’s most vital player in the offensive zone during the first half of the season until he sustained an injury in January. Simons, on the other hand, has shown only glimpses of his potential and recently suffered an ACL injury against Wolves, ruling him out for an extended period.

With Maddison still sidelined and players like Joao Palhinha and Yves Bissouma facing uncertain futures, Tottenham is planning a significant midfield overhaul. The club will need to secure reinforcements to enhance their performance next season and aim to bring in players who fit Roberto De Zerbi’s style of play.

Galatasaray Midfielder Gabriel Sara Targeted by Serie A Giants Napoli

Regardless of their end-of-season status, Spurs are expected to pursue new signings across the board, including Galatasaray midfielder Gabriel Sara, who has been linked with a transfer to N17.

Since arriving from Norwich City in 2024, Sara has established himself as a key player for Galatasaray, contributing 15 assists (8 goals) in 87 appearances to the Turkish side. His versatility allows him to play in various positions across midfield and attack, further increasing his value.

Following an impressive season with Galatasaray, Sara is attracting interest from multiple clubs. According to Italian daily Il Mattino, Napoli is considering a move for the Brazilian, viewing him as an ‘exotic’ target for the upcoming summer transfer window.

Napoli, having fallen short of retaining their Serie A title, is looking to strengthen various areas of their squad, with the midfield being a priority. Sara has been identified as a potential option for their lineup.

Galatasaray is on the verge of securing the Super Lig title, which would guarantee them a spot in next year’s Champions League. Napoli, currently second in Serie A, is also expected to qualify for the tournament. Should Sara choose to leave Galatasaray, Napoli might present a more attractive option than Tottenham.

Spurs will not participate in European competition next season and are currently battling to avoid relegation in the Premier League. If De Zerbi is unable to keep the club afloat, the chances of landing Sara would likely diminish. However, if acquired, the Brazilian would offer essential qualities including strength, energy, creativity, and goals from midfield.
