On Friday, Tunisia’s head coach Sabri Lamouchi announced the squad that will represent the nation in the upcoming World Cup in the Americas. This year’s tournament is set to take place in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, marking a significant milestone for Tunisia’s international football ambitions.
The final roster includes 26 players; however, notable absences have emerged as some key players were not selected. Among those missing are Yassine Meriah, Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane, and former captain Ferjani Sassi.
In the group stage, Tunisia will face tough competition, squaring off against Sweden, Japan, and the Netherlands.
