Rasmus Hojlund might have won it with his sole goal for Denmark against Portugal in the 1st leg of UEFA Nations league quarter-final but his opponents especially his idol won’t be happy with how the celebrations took place.

Hojlund scored in the 78th minute
Hojlund scored in the 78th minute with a clean finish tap-in which saw the goalkeeper, Diogo Costa going to the wrong side of the goal. The other closest chance to a goal also fell to fellow danish, Christian Eriksen when he had the chance to get his country in the front in the 24th minute from the spot but failed to convert the penalty.
The celebration from Rasmus Hojlund took all the entertainment points from the match as Portugal looked bad at transitions and were complacent with the ball.
Despite Portugal having a star-studded team it looked like the Danes could have scored 2-3 goals while Portugal struggled to get 2 shots on target. The players looked tired and the game plan did not look concrete.
Portugal were defeated in style
This was Brian Riemer’s first victory at Home and what a way for the gaffer to announce itself, the favourites Portugal were defeated in style and were allowed no room to get their play going.

He might have done it to show his admiration for Cristiano but knowing Ronaldo’s competitive nature, He won’t be happy with how things went down and will be waiting to take the perfect revenge 3 days later in Portugal’s home match.

Brian Riemer, Denmark coach: “We wanted to show bravery and energy, and we came out on the pitch with that. The plan was carried out to perfection by the players.”
Roberto Martínez, Portugal coach: “It’s the worst match we’ve played in a very long time. The Danes were simply better than us in every aspect. They executed their gameplan because we allowed them to. We lacked rhythm and failed to control the ball, so there is a lot we need to improve.”
