The 18-year-old Englishman is a product of New York City and became the first player to come through the club’s academy and join the Premier League team. The transfer fee has not been disclosed, but the American club will receive a percentage of the player’s upcoming sale.
Last season, MacFarlane played 13 games without scoring.
