Dominic Solanke has been a standout player for Tottenham Hotspur in his two seasons with the club.
The striker, who moved to Spurs from Bournemouth in the summer of 2024, has made 54 appearances and scored 18 goals.
This season, the 28-year-old has scored twice in five Premier League matches and twice in the UEFA Champions League, contributing important points in both tournaments.
In the Premier League this season, Solanke has created three chances and won 40% of his duels.
In the recent match against Manchester City, he scored two goals, including an impressive scorpion kick for his second.
His goals helped Spurs come back from a two-goal deficit to tie the game 2-2, raising their points total to 29 and placing them 14th in the league.
However, after the match, Solanke was seen limping, causing concern among Tottenham fans ahead of their upcoming match against Manchester United.
To address these worries, Solanke said, “Yeah, I should be all good. Rolled my ankle a little bit but should be fine.”
This season has been challenging for Solanke, who has faced significant injury issues, describing it as one of “the hardest moments of my life.”
He noted that “it has been quite complicated.”
His injuries also prevented him from participating in the earlier match against Manchester United in November.
If he faces more time off, it could impact both his immediate performance and the depth of Tottenham’s striker options.
Nonetheless, with Solanke reassuring fans about his fitness, supporters can look forward to seeing him play against Manchester United next weekend.
