Manchester United is actively pursuing the signing of Cameroonian midfielder Carlos Baleba ahead of the upcoming World Cup. The club had initially shown interest in the 22-year-old last summer, but negotiations did not conclude successfully.
As per reports from Sky Sports, the Red Devils have made Baleba a key target for this summer transfer window. The club is eager to expedite the process to bring the midfielder to Old Trafford before the World Cup begins on June 11.
Currently, Baleba is under contract with Brighton until 2028. However, sources indicate that the Seagulls are open to the possibility of his departure, provided that the transfer conditions are satisfactorily met.
