Tottenham Hotspur Eyes Monaco’s Maghnes Akliouche as Summer Target
Tottenham Hotspur is targeting Monaco attacker Maghnes Akliouche at the end of the current season. The club has been monitoring his progress for some time and seeks to finalize a deal this summer. Reports suggest that Manchester United is also interested in the player, raising the stakes for both Premier League teams.
Manchester United holds the advantage of offering Champions League football, which could be appealing to Akliouche. The transfer fee is expected to be around £40 million. Both clubs possess the financial capability to secure the deal, leaving his future uncertain.
Spurs Keen on Maghnes Akliouche
Pete O’Rourke told Football Insider: “Maghnes Akliouche is obviously a player who’s been on their radar for a long time.
“Tottenham will be keeping tabs on him and they are looking to be kept informed on his future.
“Monaco are well aware of the growing interest in him and probably would sell at the right price.
“For Tottenham, I’m sure they’ll be looking to be in that race for him.
“But I think it’ll be difficult for them just due to that lack of European football and because of the probably rival interest from other clubs.”
Where Will Akliouche End Up?
The 24-year-old is eager to compete at a high level and contend for trophies. Tottenham must communicate their ambitions to him, as the current season has been challenging, with the team struggling in the Premier League.
To strengthen their attack, Spurs require more quality, and Akliouche could bring a fresh dynamic in the final third. He has scored seven goals and provided 11 assists this season, demonstrating his capability to create opportunities and find the net.
While Akliouche seeks regular playing time, he would face competition from Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo at Manchester United. Conversely, he may have a more assured starting position at Tottenham. His ultimate decision remains to be seen.
