Manchester United Prepares for Key Summer Transfers Amid Midfield Changes

Manchester United’s summer transfer plans are already starting to take shape ahead of the upcoming window.

Midfield remains the priority, especially following Casemiro’s confirmed departure at the end of the season.

However, defensive reinforcements are also being assessed behind the scenes at Old Trafford.

It has already been confirmed that Dutch full-back Tyrell Malacia will leave the club at the end of the season.

Several defensive targets are now being monitored across Europe and the Premier League.

Newcastle United have seen multiple players linked with a move to Manchester United in recent months.

Sandro Tonali remains admired internally at Old Trafford despite Newcastle’s determination to keep the Italy international.

Another highly-rated defender has also previously emerged on United’s radar.

Back in March, reports claimed Manchester United were keeping tabs on Lewis Hall following his impressive development under Eddie Howe.

But fresh reports have now downplayed speculation linking the Newcastle defender with a move away from St James’ Park.

According to Lee Ryder, sources close to Newcastle have dismissed the rumours as speculative.

The report also referenced comments from Howe earlier this week.

The Newcastle manager insisted he plans to keep both Hall and Tino Livramento at the club for ‘years to come’.

Newcastle are also reportedly in discussions with Livramento over a new contract.

Hall’s long-standing connection to the club as a boyhood Newcastle supporter further strengthens their position.

The young defender enjoyed another impressive season under Howe.

He continued establishing himself as one of the Premier League’s most promising full-backs.

Manchester United are still expected to remain active in the market for defensive additions this summer.

But Newcastle currently appear relaxed regarding speculation surrounding two of their most highly-rated young players.
