Following the announcement of the squad list for the tournament, the Cape Verdean national team, known as the Blue Sharks, will intensify their preparations. This marks a significant milestone as they gear up for their first-ever appearance at the World Cup.
To ensure comprehensive preparation, Cape Verde will commence a training camp from May 20 to May 24. After the camp, the team will travel to Portugal for an international friendly match.
The Blue Sharks are scheduled to face Serbia on May 31 at the Restelo Stadium. Subsequently, they will play another friendly match in the United States against Bermuda, just days before the World Cup begins on June 11.
During the tournament, which will take place in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, Cape Verde will compete in Group H against Spain, Uruguay, and Saudi Arabia.
