The 2025/26 Premier League season approaches its conclusion, leading to the potential exit of several players as their contracts end.

Although high-profile signings often dominate headlines, many clubs opt to enhance their lineups by securing free agents, allowing them to refresh their squads without excessive spending.

With contracts expiring throughout the league, several notable players could be on the move this summer. Here are five top Premier League free agents to watch.

Marcos Senesi

The 28-year-old Bournemouth centre-back has become one of the team’s most reliable defenders since his transfer from Feyenoord in 2022.

This season, the Argentine has made 38 appearances for Andoni Iraola’s side, contributing five assists and helping Bournemouth achieve their best-ever Premier League finish.

Senesi’s renewed form has led to two international appearances for Argentina this season, while he has also helped Bournemouth maintain 11 clean sheets in the league. Reports from journalist David Ornstein suggest that Tottenham Hotspur is nearing a deal for the Argentine international.

Casemiro

The Brazilian international has confirmed he will be leaving Manchester United at the season’s end, having joined the club from Real Madrid in the summer of 2022.

His impressive performance played a key role in United securing a Champions League spot under Michael Carrick, with nine goals and two assists in the league solidifying his status as one of the team’s key midfielders.

Having already bid farewell to the United supporters, he is also set to represent Brazil at the World Cup, thanks to manager Carlo Ancelotti naming him in his 26-man squad.

Kieran Trippier

The Newcastle United full-back has consistently been one of the club’s standout defenders, excelling in both defensive duties and offensive contributions.

Since joining Newcastle from Atletico Madrid in January 2022, Trippier has earned a place as a pillar of the squad, playing a vital role in ending a 70-year domestic trophy drought with the Magpies’ Carabao Cup victory.

According to a report from The Sun, the former England international is in discussions regarding a possible free transfer to relegated side Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Daichi Kamada

The Japanese international has rejoined manager Oliver Glasner at Crystal Palace this season and is set to become a free agent as his current deal expires.

During the campaign, Kamada has made 44 appearances in all competitions, scoring once and providing four assists.

His versatility has been an asset for Glasner, as he has played in both attacking and defensive midfield positions. Kamada, who will compete for Japan in the World Cup, was part of the Palace squad that clinched the 2024/25 FA Cup, cementing his legacy at the club. He has yet to sign a new contract and will aim to help the team finish strongly against Rayo Vallecano in the UEFA Conference League final.

Bernardo Silva

As the story of Manchester City’s successful era unfolds, Bernardo Silva’s contribution stands out. He has declared his intention to leave the Etihad following a nine-year stretch filled with achievements.

Since arriving at the club, the Portuguese international has made over 290 appearances and holds the record for the most Premier League appearances by a Portuguese player.

Silva has attracted interest from numerous clubs, including those in the MLS and Saudi Pro League, as well as top European teams.

Despite finishing second to Arsenal in the Premier League this season, Silva led Pep Guardiola’s squad to a domestic double by winning both the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup.

As these players prepare for the next chapter in their careers, they are likely to attract significant interest when the transfer window opens, while also keeping an eye on their national teams as they gear up for the World Cup.
