Newcastle United is poised to benefit financially as they near a significant transfer deal for midfielder Sandro Tonali. The club’s management has reportedly made the decision to allow the 26-year-old Italian player to leave during the upcoming summer transfer window.
Following Newcastle’s inability to secure a spot in next season’s Champions League, Tonali has expressed his desire to seek new opportunities. Manchester United is positioned as the leading contender for his signature, having monitored the midfielder for over a year.
Although Newcastle is open to selling Tonali, they have set a minimum price of £87 million for the transfer. This season, Tonali has made 53 appearances for Newcastle, contributing three goals and seven assists to the team’s campaign. His current market value is approximately €80 million, according to Transfermarkt.
