Plateau United FC has officially announced that their final fixture of the 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season against Kano Pillars FC will be held behind closed doors due to security concerns.

The announcement was made in an official statement released by the club on Friday, ahead of the crucial NPFL encounter scheduled for Sunday, May 24, 2026.

According to the statement from the club’s management, only authorized officials and accredited personnel will have access to the stadium and pitch area during the match. Fans and supporters will be prohibited from entering the venue as part of the measures implemented to ensure safety.

Plateau United clarified that this decision was made for security reasons, although no further details regarding the circumstances prompting the restriction were provided.
