Senegal international Iliman Ndiaye has indicated that a potential return to Marseille could be in the works after two years at Everton. His comments come as he reflects on his move to the Premier League, which took place during the summer of 2024.

Ndiaye revealed in a recent statement that when discussions about Everton’s interest were held with Marseille’s management, there was no attempt made to retain him. Despite his ongoing commitment to Everton, the right-winger believes that his journey with Marseille is far from over.

“When we discussed Everton’s interest with the club’s management, nobody tried to keep me. At least that was clear. It’s certain that if I’d arrived two years later, with two Premier League seasons under my belt, I’m sure things would have turned out very differently in Marseille. I am a believer and I think that what happened was meant to happen. Perhaps that season at Marseille even helped me later on. And I am certain that the story with Marseille is by no means over,” Ndiaye stated.

Currently, Ndiaye is under contract with Everton until 2029.
