Austria national team head coach Ralf Rangnick has secured his position with a new long-term deal with the Austrian Football Association, which will last until June 2028. This development was reported by renowned insider Fabrizio Romano.

The 67-year-old coach, who has been at the helm since 2022, will continue leading the national team through the upcoming cycle of international tournaments. The contract extension effectively puts rumors of his possible return to club football to rest, particularly those linking him to AC Milan, as the club explored various candidates for key positions in their sporting and coaching departments.

Under Rangnick’s guidance, the Austrian national team has notably improved its style of play and successfully qualified for the World Cup. The team is set to begin its tournament campaign against Jordan on June 17.
