The Tunisian Football Federation is contemplating the termination of manager Sabri Lamouchi following the national team’s disappointing performance at the World Cup, hosted across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The Eagles of Carthage endured a significant defeat, losing to Sweden 5-1 in their Group F match, a result that has drawn considerable criticism from fans and commentators in Tunisia.

In light of the team’s poor start, reports from the Tunisian media indicate that certain members of the Football Federation are convening an emergency meeting to evaluate Lamouchi’s position. The possibility of his dismissal is being discussed, and it may occur prior to the conclusion of the tournament.

Should Lamouchi be relieved of his duties, Wahbi Khazri, currently an assistant to the manager, is anticipated to step in as interim head coach for the remainder of the World Cup.
