Manchester United Announces New Kit and Surprising Appointment Ahead of Next Season

Manchester United has implemented significant changes behind the scenes in recent months following Ruben Amorim’s departure in January.

Michael Carrick was initially appointed as caretaker manager, but he has emerged as the frontrunner for a permanent position.

He has successfully guided the Red Devils back into the Champions League.

As focus shifts to next season, attention is now on the club’s upcoming kit releases.

Manchester United is set to officially unveil their new 2026/27 home kit on May 14. The shirt is expected to be worn against Nottingham Forest and Brighton in the last two matches of the season.

Additionally, a new project associated with the club’s kit launches has surfaced.

According to The Sun, online personality Angry Ginge has been appointed by Manchester United for a surprising new role connected to the upcoming third kit release.

The streamer, known as Morgan Burtwistle, reportedly filmed promotional content in Salford alongside first-team stars Matheus Cunha, Amad Diallo, and Lisandro Martinez.

Reports indicate that the new third kit will pay tribute to the iconic Salford Lads Club, which gained global recognition through its link to The Smiths’ 1986 album ‘The Queen is Dead’.

Images from the filming suggest that the kit will incorporate elements from the famous red-brick building, green backgrounds, and red Lancashire roses, hinting at its color scheme.

It is believed that the third kit will feature a red and green combination, produced by Adidas. Typically, Manchester United’s third kits are revealed later in the summer.

This time, however, preparations appear to be well underway. Angry Ginge is well-known for his Manchester United-related content and has cultivated a significant following on various streaming and social media platforms in recent years.

The 24-year-old, who recently won ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ has become one of the most recognizable football content creators in the UK.

His involvement in Manchester United’s major commercial projects hints at a new direction for the club ahead of the next season.
