A potential transfer to the Premier League is on the horizon for a Japanese prospect. Aston Villa is actively exploring options to replace their Argentine goalkeeper.

Details have emerged via prominent journalist Nicolò Schira, who revealed that scouts from Aston Villa were in attendance during the recent World Cup match between the Netherlands and Japan. This information was shared on his page on the social network X.

Reports suggest that the Aston Villa representatives were specifically watching 23-year-old Japanese goalkeeper Zion Suzuki. He is regarded as a leading candidate to take over from Emiliano Martínez, who is set to leave the club.

Currently, Suzuki plays for Italian club Parma, where he has a contract that runs until 2029. His market value is estimated at €20 million, according to Transfermarkt.
