Atalanta has officially appointed Maurizio Sarri as their new head coach, marking a significant change in leadership for the Italian football club. The announcement was made today on Atalanta’s official page on the social media platform X.
Sarri, 67 years old, signs a contract that will keep him at the club until 2029, with an annual salary of 3.5 million euros. He takes over from Raffaele Palladino, who departed from the role just a week ago.
Prior to joining Atalanta, Sarri managed Lazio, having taken the helm in 2021 and concluding his tenure in May of this year after a brief hiatus. Under his leadership, Atalanta finished 7th in Serie A last season, earning a spot in the Conference League qualifiers.
