Premier League Players with Best Goals-to-Minutes Ratios Revealed

As the 2025/26 Premier League season nears its end, it’s the perfect time to analyze some key statistics. Notably, which players have excelled in scoring goals relative to their playing time this season? Let’s take a closer look.

Only players with a minimum of five goals this season qualify for this list. We will spotlight players from renowned clubs such as Manchester United, Newcastle United, and Arsenal. Who stands out as the league’s most effective goalscorers?

Benjamin Sesko

Benjamin Sesko has emerged as a solid addition to Manchester United, despite an initial hefty price tag of £73 million. His skills have started to show through as the season progresses.

After facing challenges under previous manager Ruben Amorim, the Slovenian international has thrived under Michael Carrick. To date, Sesko has scored 11 goals in 1,639 minutes, translating to one goal every 149 minutes.

Igor Thiago

Igor Thiago is enjoying a breakout season at Brentford, making headlines as the second-highest goalscorer in the league for 2025/26.

His impressive shot conversion rate is among the best among top scorers, showcasing his rare finishing ability. Thiago’s performance might even earn him a place in Brazil’s 2026 World Cup squad.

He has netted 22 goals this season while accumulating 3,017 minutes, yielding a goals-to-minutes ratio of 137.

Eli Junior Kroupi

Eli Junior Kroupi has made a name for himself at Bournemouth, with many comparisons being drawn to a young Thierry Henry.

Kroupi displays a commendable composure and lethal finishing in front of goal, which explains his growing reputation.

So far, he has scored 12 goals in the Premier League across 1,455 minutes, giving him a goals-to-minutes ratio of 121.

William Osula

Newcastle United invested significantly to replace Alexander Isak, yet after 35 Premier League matches, neither of their new signings has achieved a better goals-to-minutes ratio than William Osula.

Though Osula has scored only five goals this season, he made the list due to his limited playing time, contributing an impressive ratio given his 586 minutes played this season, resulting in a ratio of 117.

Erling Haaland

It comes as no surprise that Erling Haaland stands out as the best striker in the Premier League, and indeed the world. As a result, the Manchester City star boasts the top goals-to-minutes ratio this season.

Haaland has played 2,780 minutes, scoring 25 goals, which equates to one goal every 111 minutes. With 110 Premier League goals in just 130 appearances, he is on track to challenge Alan Shearer’s all-time total of 260 if he continues at this pace.
