Celtic Youngster Zion Pullan Attracts Interest from Athletic Club

Celtic boasts a robust youth academy, and one of its promising talents, Zion Pullan, has recently drawn attention from a prominent Spanish club.

Youth development is crucial for Athletic Club, which seeks to enhance its talent pool. The club’s philosophy restricts signings to players born or trained in Euskal Herria, shaping their recruitment approach.

In this context, reports suggest Athletic Club views Celtic’s Pullan as a potential replacement for Inaki Williams. Pullan has been exceptional in the youth categories, scoring 58 goals and providing 35 assists this season, which has piqued Athletic’s interest. At just 15 years old, he aligns perfectly with the future vision of the Basque club.

At Lezama, Pullan would further his development to transition to the first team. According to La Cantera de Lezama (h/t Estadio Deportivo), he is highly regarded by the sporting department and fits the ethos of the Bilbao club, particularly as he was born in Tudela, Navarre.

Despite his young age, Pullan’s rapid ascent in football has led to appearances for Celtic’s under-17 team. He has also been recognized by the Spanish federation, receiving a call-up for the under-15 team due to his outstanding performance across Europe.

Moreover, the report indicates that Athletic Club is not alone in monitoring Pullan’s development; several teams throughout Europe are keeping a close watch on the young Celtic forward, who has emerged as one of the exciting talents in youth football.
