Brazil Announces Squad for 2026 FIFA World Cup, Featuring Manchester United Stars

Brazil have officially confirmed their squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

International teams have been continuing to announce their final selections ahead of this summer’s tournament.

Several current and former Manchester United players have already discovered their international futures over recent days.

DR Congo recently confirmed former Manchester United duo Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Axel Tuanzebe in their World Cup squad.

Tunisia also officially selected former United midfielder Hannibal Mejbri.

Now, Brazil have added two Manchester United players to their squad list ahead of the competition.

The Brazilian national team officially announced their squad through the federation’s X page on Monday evening.

Among the players selected were Manchester United duo Casemiro and Matheus Cunha.

Casemiro’s inclusion comes months after the midfielder confirmed he will leave Manchester United at the end of the season.

The experienced Brazilian also played his final match at Old Trafford during United’s recent 3-2 victory over Nottingham Forest.

Casemiro joined Manchester United from Real Madrid in 2022 and helped the club win both the Carabao Cup and FA Cup during his spell in England.

Despite criticism during parts of his United career, the midfielder remained an important figure for both club and country.

Cunha was also included in Brazil’s squad following a strong first season at Old Trafford.

Manchester United signed Cunha last summer and the forward has already registered 10 Premier League goals during his debut campaign for the club.

The Brazilian attacker has become one of United’s key offensive players under Michael Carrick during the second half of the season.

Brazil also confirmed the inclusion of legend Neymar in their final squad for the tournament.

The forward remains one of the biggest names in world football despite recent injury concerns over the last few years.

Now 34, Neymar will head into another World Cup looking to finally help Brazil secure their first tournament victory since 2002.

Brazil are once again viewed among the favourites to win the competition this summer.

With Casemiro, Cunha and Neymar all included, they will travel to the tournament carrying huge expectations once again.
